Postcards to the Future

Preparing for the revolution with Jackie Wylie

Claire Doherty, David Micklem and guests Season 1 Episode 10

In this episode writer and producer David Micklem talks to Jackie Wylie, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of National Theatre of Scotland.

The National Theatre of Scotland is a theatre without walls set up 15 years ago to make exceptional, audacious, collaborative theatre that represents the complexity of modern Scotland, and to take that theatre to communities and to the world.

Jackie has been its Artistic Director since 2016. Before that she founded Take Me Somewhere, a Glasgow wide international performance festival based at the Tramway. Her early career, after a stint in television, was marked by 10 years at Glasgow's legendary The Arches where she worked under Andy Arnold and then became Artistic Director in 2008 at the age of 28, becoming the youngest serving director of a major Scottish venue

Recorded remotely during Covid lockdown in Summer 2020.
